Laser Dentistry:

Laser dentistry is among the most exciting developments in modern dentistry, offering many advantages over traditional treatment. In order to provide the best treatment for his patients, Dr. Hubbard stays on the forefront of technology. He uses a soft and hard tissue dental laser. Lasers can now be used to perform a variety of functions. Waterlase by Biolase is used to perform a variety of procedures, comfortably and with pinpoint accuracy. In addition, we offer Laser Periodontal Therapy™ with the PerioLase®.

Waterlase

The Waterlase dental laser emits focused, concentrated light and a stream of water to eliminate decay, re-contour gum lines, remove excess gum tissue, stimulate bone tissue, and much more. Waterlase seals soft tissue as it works, so you'll experience minimal bleeding and swelling, and you won't need stitches, Treatment with a Waterlase dental laser is so gentle that most patients don't require anesthesia. Procedure and recovery times are faster, as well.

Periolase

With Periolase, we can provide minimally invasive gum disease surgery. If you experience advanced gum disease, you may have damaged gum tissue that requires removal to stimulate new tissue growth. The Periolase replaces the traditional surgical procedure, which was performed with a scalpel and required stitches and packing the gums for healing. Periolase simply and precisely trims away damaged gum tissue, and you won't need stitches! We may also debride the infected gum pockets with this laser, which means we'll remove the infection and bacteria hiding between your gums and teeth. This will stimulate healthy reattachment of the gums to your teeth.

Digital Dental X-Ray

In our office we use DEXIS Digital x-rays. There are many advantages to the digital x-rays offered at our practice. Digital x-rays are environmentally friendly by eliminating film, chemicals and the disposal of them. They reduce your exposure to radiation by over 80 percent, which enhances your safety and the safety of our staff. To reach the yearly maximum safe dose of radiation, you would have to take over 10,000 dental x-rays. Subsequently, the risk of dental x-rays is very small, especially compared to the risk of undetected decay, gum disease, abscessed and other serios conditions. And because digital x-rays are instantly viewable on a computer screen, the digital xrays allow for shorter appointments and better understanding of your treatment plan.

Digital Tomography and Panoramic x-ray

For comprehensive diagnosis and less radiation, the panoramic machine takes an x-ray of your facial aspects, including the TMJ joints and sinus area, in one picture. A panoramic image that shows all of the jawbones and teeth and is typically utilized in oral surgery such as wisdom tooth extractions, implant surgeries and jaw fractures.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras are invaluable tools that enable us to diagnose and treat small dental problems before they develop into larger ones. These tiny cameras can be inserted comfortably into a patient's mouth to transmit images to our monitors and tv screens, allowing patients to see their own teeth in high detail just as Dr. Hubbard sees them and enabling patients to make more informed choices regarding their own dental care. These images can also be enlarged to display specific details, archived in your dental records, and transmitted to dental specialists and insurance carriers if needed.

The Wand / Anesthetic Delivery Technology

THE WAND® represents the first major technological advance in anesthetic delivery since the syringe was invented nearly one hundred fifty years ago. Discomfort from a dental shot is mostly due to the feeling of pressure created by the flow of anesthetic. The Wand keeps the pressure of the injection below the threshold level of pressure that causes pain and can therefore greatly relieve discomfort.

Zoom! Whitening System

The Zoom!® In-Office Whitening System is one of the most effective tooth whitening systems available. Whitening gel is carefully applied to the teeth and treated with a special Zoom! Whitening Lamp. This technology uses a combination of laser lighting and hydrogen perioxide-based gel to whiten teeth - six to 10 shades - in a little over an hour. Zoom is ideal for anyone who wants immediate results.

Electric Handpiece

Of all the things we use in the dental office, the handpiece or "drill" is one that you would not think of as being high technology. The air-driven handpiece has been a staple of modern dental treatment for over 60 years. Electric driven handpieces offer many advantages over air driven. They run much quieter and smoother than air handpieces. The benefit you will notice is that there is less vibration that you feel. And with higher torque, they are much more efficient at their work, shortening the time to prepare the tooth.

E4D CAD/CAM Same Day Dentistry

The E4D Dentist System provides Dr. Hubbard with the capability of delivering Same Day Dentistry to you using the latest in technology and clinically proven materials. In contrast to conventional dentistry, which often takes two full appointments to restore a single tooth, the E4D Dentist System enables the dentist to scan the prepared tooth in your mouth, virtually design the final restoration, then send the information wirelessly to an in-office milling station. Your restoration is ready to be seated in your mouth in the same day or even within a single appointment. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary for weeks at a time. Dr. Hubbard will determine if Same Day Dentistry is right for you.

TekScan II Occlusal Analysis System

The T-scan II® computerized occlusal analysis system allows Dr. Hubbard to precisely analyze your bite and identify any damaging occlusal forces. The ability to measure the force of a patient's bite is critical when it comes to assessing oral health and the efficacy of prosthodontic treatment. An unbalanced bite can create excessive wear on dental prostheses and may result in bone loss or material failure. The T-scan II collects occlusal contact data that you can see in clearly-defined graphics and printouts. This data can be combined with periodontal charting, X-ray and tissue exam data to provide a complete assesment of oral health.

KCP Air Abrasion

Dr Hubbard uses air abrasion to remove decay much like a sandblasting technique. An air abrasion handpiece blows a powerful air stream of tiny, fine aluminum oxide particles out of its tip across the decayed area of the tooth. Because air abrasion custs tooth surfaces with the utmost precision, it removes less tooth than a drill and treatment time is usually shorter. Very often, this can be accomplished without anesthetic.

Magnification Loupes

Dentistry is micro-surgery. We use magnification loupes that are similar to the kind that an ophthalmologist uses to enable us to create dental restorations with an incredibly precise fit and finish. You just can't fulfill that level of care with the naked eye.

Online Patient Access

We provide a service to our patients so that you can access your appointment and account information online. You can check your information on our website 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can also receive email or text message appointment reminders. You can print your ledger for tax or insurance purposes and even see when your next appointment is.

6 Month Smiles Adult Cosmetic Braces

A revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques, modern materials, and innovative thought - Six Month Smiles® utilizes nearly invisible clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth in an average time of just six months.
